Trejo is one of the most recognizable American actors working today, with a huge number of action movies under his belt. The second cousin of famed director Robert Rodriguez, the two have collaborated on 10 different films, notably on Spy Kids, Machete and its sequel, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and From Dusk to Dawn. Although a low-budget movie the old western town looks great as it did in the first film, so the production is very good & the music is often moody or frantic depending on the scene & usually works fine. I actually like these "Tombstone" films more than Trejo's "Machete" films because these are more serious & gritty adventures without the over silliness & comical moments that his "Machete" films are known for, i like the more natural flow of these films as grim 'n' gritty Supernatural Westerns with a few laughs sprinkled throughout but not over-the-top silliness. Towards the end of the movie we finally get some supernatural action but it is really too late to save it and not really that impressive to begin with. Entering the church, Lucifer informs Guerrero of his failure, but does not want to condemn him to Hell. Instead, he forces Guerrero to kill outlaws to pay off his debt. Now, with Edendale out of danger, Guerrero rides off into the countryside, looking for his next bounty to collect for Hell. It seemed like someone wanted to make a 'Machete' movie as a western, but also threw in the devil and a supernatural aspect to appeal to a wider audience. And whoever thought to put Machete (Danny Trejo) and the nerd from 'The Breakfast Club' (Anthony Michael Hall) together as half-brothers, is a genius. But 'Dead in Tombstone' follows Machete...err...Guerrero (Trejo) and Red (Hall), who are half brothers who lead a band of outlaws in the wild west, as they go riding into towns, robbing and blasting their guns. None of this really makes any sense, but there are some laugh out loud one liners and ridiculous slow motion shots riddled throughout.

Mother de la Cruz (Michelle Rios), Guerrero's mother, looks younger than Trejo. Something about her just did not look older than Trejo. Elysia Rotaru as the daughter Alicia was not too bad. She was a tough character and gave as good as Trejo. Dead in Tombstone is a 2013 American direct-to-video horror Western film produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment. It was directed by Roel Reiné and written by Shane Kuhn and Brendan Cowles. The film stars Danny Trejo as Guerrero, a gang leader who gets double-crossed by his fellow gang members. Striking a pact with the Devil after entering Hell, he resurfaces to the earthly world to avenge his own death by killing the men who murdered him. The film was released in home media on October 22, 2013, and was followed by a sequel, Dead Again in Tombstone (2017). As for our behind-the-scenes looks into Dead In Tombstone, a lot of ground is covered. Sporting a bevy of riches, the special features focus on general production, the weaponry used on set and how some of it came about, director Roel Reiné and his vision, and lastly that magnificent town I talked about. The problem is, unless you like Reiné’s film and are truly interested in seeing how movie magic was used to create the final product, you’ll find much of these extras passable and boring. But, for those of you who love this sort of thing, you’ve gotta some goodies worth your while! So Dead again in Tombstone is an Awesome sequel with a more Mythical Danny Trejo as Guerrero & with an even more Supernatural & Exciting storyline, so enjoy. All of his feature films have never made it to the theater. All have been direct-to-video, including a couple of the 'Death Race' sequels and 'The Scorpion King 3'. Not exactly the cream of the crop. His problem is that he doesn't really know how to direct his actors as well as shoot any type of action scene that is thrilling or coherent. And with 'Dead in Tombstone', these are the aspects that make this would be fun-as-hell film fail. Just like 'Dead in Tombstone', 'Dead again in Tombstone' is fast-paced and filled with action, adventure, suspense, gore, fantasy, and there's that great score again. As the film progressed, it became more intense with incredible scenes. The carriage chase sequence was stunningly well done. The final act is very supernatural and fantastical, but the film nevertheless remained interesting and exciting. It might not be as good as the original film, but this was good in its own right. I certainly was entertained!
